To an extent, i would love to be in another relationship like that one. I love it when men hit me and beat me. Because in a way I deserve it. I even asked one of my brother's friends to hit me, that was hot. But I would never want it to get that bad. Great song!! I can't sing and play my guitar either, so don't feel bad!!

I don't usually pay any attention to lyrics of rock song but with this i did mainly because i can sorta relate. This girl who liked me tried to break up with her boyfriend and knocked her down and she hit her head on a sidewalk. I was going to see her and i saw his knock her down and i KICKED HIS ASS and his face, his stomach and most importantly his testicals. Don't want any more in that gene pool. His older bro beat the shit out of me later but is was so worth is. She's got HUGE........ Tracks o' land.

i really like how this song has brought so much emotion out of people, i would however like to correct a few things. Firstly you should know that the song is not called "never again" therefore those who have comment based on that theory should re-think what they are typing. The song is infact called "just a woman" and for all those who dont belive me maybe you should buy all nickelbacks albums like i have and then you will see. For those who cant be bothered i guess you'll have to take my word for it. Also one thing that i dont like is people typing facts that arent true to appear like they know lots, its quite sad as this is the internet and very few people will actually know who you are. It sikens me how people post bullshit on this site, and how people just bag the song in comments. If you dont like the song thats great dont knock it because i highly doubt that you could create and sing a better song. Just because you dont like the song doesnt mean you should make out like its a bad song. Different people have different tastes and you should respect that. In conclusion id just like to say that this song rocks!!! nickelback is awesome!!!

i live with this guy who gets really abusive at times and a seven year old little girl. Everytime he tries to fight with me or starts yelling she plays this song over and over again. For some creepy reason it fits our situation all to well. She says this is the only song that reminds her of both and Jason at the same time...
now that i've heard it and read through the lyrics i understand what she means...

Never again written by nickelback is a true story. The song is based actually on his childhood, as a child, he had a stepfather and his Stepfather abused his mother constantly, and he is talking about how now it wont happen anymore (hence the name "never again") its actually based on his life as a child

*~* I was @ this party with my boyfriend. Half way through the party I touched my best guy-friends arm and my boyfriend pulled me aside a lil drunk and started yelling. I told him to just leave me alone and he freaked out and raised his fist to hit me but I nailed him right in the face and broke his nose. Then he yelled as i was walking away that he wasnt going to hit me and the started calling me a bitch and that i should apologise. I told him to never go near me again and he freaked thats when my Guyfriend noticed and jumped in and kicked his unworthy-ass out....The next day he had to explain @ school that i kicked his ass!!!****Woman Power****!!!!

Yo! Never Again, is such a cool song. It is about some chics husband or boyfriend and getting drunk and abusing her and she finally gets sick of it towards the end. I would to if I were her. I would kill the bastard if I had the guts to do something like that, but I do not want to end up in jail for the rest of my life I got some plans. Reminds me of my 'pleasent' childhood. My pop never quite learned not to hit a lady - or kids either for that matter! My pop had a drinking problem too and no matter what my mom did she was alway's in the wrong. The verse about him being 'a child with a temper' suits my pop down to the ground. The lines 'haven't you heard don't hit a lady, kickin' your ass would be a pleasure' leaves hope in my heart that there are men out there that can make it through that day without losing the rag. I totally agree, but if the woman really deserves it, then let her have it. Just because we are deemed the "weaker sex" doesn't mean that we can't put up a good fight.
i mean I was in one of my highschool wrestling matchs and i was almost knocked out cold and then in another match, i threw up in a bucket off to the side and then in both cases i came back and i won the matches, against a guy in both cases.
