I dont think theres one Mariah song that I cannot relate to. This one is one of my favorites though. It truly proves..."if you love someone, you must set them free." It is one of the hardest things to do, but listening to this song, helps it all make sense. Mariahs #1 FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not a major Mariah Carey fan. I like this song because of what it says. I am a 23 year old who married the love of his life and has 2 beautiful children, but 4 months ago my wife left me for someone else. There are a lot of songs out there that say what I want to say to her, but this song says what I NEED to say to her. I need to let her go and see if she comes back to me in time. OH my god. this song is by far one of her best. it is so mature in lyrics, and vocal talent. She really put all that she had into this song. the way she sings it, just touches me in the deepest way. this will always be one of my favorite mariah carey songs. Any one who listens to this song, will become a mariah fan,and if they don't, then they don't know the meaning of the word talent.

I think this is the last song by Mariah Carey that I really liked. I think that after she divorced Tommy Mottola, her career lacked direction, save for a few songs such as this one. This is one of my three big favorites of hers (the others being "Can't Let Go" and "Hero").
